Run Lola Run

Directed by Tom Tykwer
Starring Franka Potente, Moritz Bleibtreu

This is such a strange film, you can't help but love it. I guess it being a late-90s German movie featuring young stars and coming from a young director explains everything.

I'm sure that if you haven't seen this movie, you've either heard about it or have been exposed to an imitation of it, whether you've known it or not. If you recall in the first episode of "Alias," Jennifer Garner's character, Sydney Bristow, dons a bright red wig and euro-punk-ish clothing and runs around to some clanky techno music. This was creator J.J. Abrams' ode to Run Lola Run.

And that sums up the movie pretty well.

You know Franka Potente from The Bourne Identity & The Bourne Supremacy. You don't know Moritz Bleibtreu, but he was in Munich as well as tons of German movies. They are really the only two stars, although there are some smaller roles.

I really can't say much more. Just check it out. You will appreciate that you did. I won't spoil anything.
